The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy: (20th Anniversary Edition)

The book is nice and the poems are great but I'd argue they are not short stories but a collection of poems.If it had been described as poems or extremely short stories I'd still have bought it but would have had different expectations. I wanted short stories.

I liked this little collection of macabre poems about the woes of growing up. Discover strange misfits, hapless beings in a fantastical world. From the pen that created the cult classics such as (my most favourite film of all time) 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'The Corpse Bride'. The creative genius that is Tim Burton.The little book is eloquently illustrated in his most creatively bizarre style, a book for all Tim Burton fans.

I purchased this book for a friend but it never arrived which was very disappointing.I have read this myself and loved it so would recommend.

Gorgeous illustrations, lovely little quirky book.

The book is made out of very high quality paper, which feels great when reading the book. The drawings and artwork is amazing, if you are a Tm Burton fan and understand his dark morbid work this book is a must-buy. Some poems are as long as 5 pages, where as some are just 2 lines long. But every poem is accompanied by a relevant piece of art which are intriguing and a pleasure to look at !

Brought this item as a present for a friend. Condition was outstanding, pages are all intact, and I was over all very happy with my purchase. This is a great book with very funny poems in and brilliant drawings by the very talented Tim Burton. I purchased this for my son, but have read it myself and I was laughing out loud at some of the poems, I also loved the little drawings. A very funny book indeed and I enjoyed reading it very much. I will be buying more of Tim Burton's books.
