Great for making coffee in but this is NOT a travel mug
I am going to echo what others have said. This is fantastic for making a large cup of coffee in and is so easy to clean; much easier than a press. The lid is a little harder to clean, as the coffee and cream get trapped under the hinged areas of the two caps. However, it is definitely not a travel mug for a number of reasons. The first being that the lid just pushes in; it doesn’t secure. If you hold the cup upside down, the weight of the liquid pushes the lid off. The second is that it has a little rubber cap, which I guess acts as heat vent and to increase the flow. It wouldn’t take much for this to be knocked open in a bag. The third is that it’s too wide to comfortably hold while walking.Fortunately, I didn’t buy this as a travel mug. I bought it as an alternative to a French press, which it most definitely is.

Disappointed
Was very disappointed with this item so I'm returning today. The overall quality of the item is pretty good but as a travel mug this was useless. The lid leaks and even if it didn't it's very hard to drink out off, I definitely could not walk and drink at the same time. It doesn't travel well, as in it couldn't sit in my car holder and I found it awkward to hold when moving around as it slid out of my hands quite easily. My favourite part was the filter. I could only put a little water I'm at a time so it was very time consuming, but the filter was excellent. Really disappointed.

It’s a good product but there are some inconveniences
This is a good coffee cup but there could be some improvements: 1) the filter, when I’m pouring water into the filter I can’t see how much water I’ve pouring into the cup and I like to leave space for milk. Also, it’s easy to pour too much and over fill the cup. 2) the issue of the filter once I’ve finished using it. I’ve been using a travel cafetière at work and I’m not able to put it aside. Ideally the filter could be designed to stay inside the cup. It doesn’t have to go all the way to the bottom, like a plunger. there are single use/throw away filter cups where the filter is at the top.I bought this because I like the size and the materials it’s made off seem sturdy enough to last quite a long time.

Inconvenient and slow pourer
As others have said, very slow to filter so you need to dribble in the hot water. But the main drawback for me, given that this sells itself as a ‘travel’ mug, is the fact that it’s such an untidy bundle. Unless I’m missing something, and I’m kinda hoping I am, you have to carry the mug, filter and lid as three separate fiddly bits which are easy to get dirty and damaged. You’d think the designers would have thought of a way of clipping things together for transport. It’s also expensive, which I wouldn’t mind if it was worth the money.

Great Piece Of Kit
All it needs to do it does very well, it brews ground coffee into a travel mug and keeps it very hot for a long time. The lid is not screw down because its a travel mug not a flask so dont lie it down in a bag or such like without expecting some leakage eventually, used properly the lid stays tightly in place and nothing leaks.Great piece of kit if you want decent coffee on the go or to use at work.
